Earlier the pension amount for three months was given in one go, but now it will be transferred to the bank accounts of beneficiaries in two equal installments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

In Saharanpur district, as many as 1.19 lakh people are beneficiaries of this scheme.

To organize pension payments better and increase transparency.
To avoid irregularities or the intervention of intermediaries.
Pensioners will be able to receive their pension without visiting any office.
Pension and Government Contribution Levels
The beneficiaries are given a total pension of Rs. 3000 for three months which will now be sent in two equal installments.
For beneficiaries above 80 years: The quarterly pension of ₹ 3000 is equally distributed between the Central and State Governments – ₹ 1500 each.
For beneficiaries below the age of 80 years, the quarterly pension of ₹3,000 has a higher contribution from the State government — ₹2,400 from the State and ₹600 from the Center.

The third installment of Uttar Pradesh Destitute Woman (Widow) Pension for July, August and September is to be released by end of September or October 2026. The government does not announce any date for this, the money is given to the districts in phases through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
